  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp strawberry extract
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, cream cheese, and vegetable oil. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  4. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it, then add the remaining batter followed by the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, strawberry extract, and red food coloring for icing.
  7. Let the cake cool on a rack before drizzling with icing.
