  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 6 pieces Croissants (day old)
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups Almond Flour
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Almond Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Almonds
  • Powdered Sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and add almond extract; set aside to cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. In a mixing bowl, blend softened butter, sugar, almond flour, egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Slice croissants in half lengthwise and spread the filling inside.
