  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles

  2. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients until just mixed. Gently fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  4. Chill dough for at least 2 hours to prevent spreading.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop rounded balls onto baking sheets and shape taller than wide.
  7. Bake for 13–15 minutes until edges are lightly browned but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
