Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic; sauté until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice; deglaze the pan by scraping up browned bits. Add lemon zest and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and let simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  5. For the rice, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; sauté garlic briefly. Add rice, toast for about 1 minute, then stir in chicken broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. Finish the rice by stirring in parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
