  • 12 oz fresh cranberries (about 3 cups)

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture until just combined.
  4. Press about two-thirds of the dough into the prepared pan, ensuring an even layer.
  5. Rinse and dry the cranberries; spread them evenly over the dough in the pan.
  6. Mix chopped walnuts into the remaining dough and drop pieces over the cranberries.
  7. Refrigerate for 20 minutes before baking for improved texture.
  8. Bake for approximately 42-45 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Allow cooling for 10-20 minutes before slicing into bars.
