  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups plus 1/4 cup fresh blueberries (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9-inch round pie dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about 45 seconds; allow it to cool slightly before adding eggs.
  4. Whisk in eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in 2 cups of fresh blueberries until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Evenly sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup blueberries on top and then sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
  9. Bake for about 34 to 39 minutes or until edges are set and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
