  • ½ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 cup dry apple vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons grainy mustard
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • Thyme sprigs for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper; coat with Dijon mustard.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown diced turkey bacon until golden; set aside.
  3. Brown seasoned chicken thighs in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side; remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté shallots and garlic in the skillet until softened.
  5. Deglaze the pan with apple vinegar, scraping up browned bits.
  6. Stir in flour, followed by chicken broth; return browned chicken and turkey bacon to the skillet.
  7. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Add heavy cream and grainy mustard; stir until thickened.
  9. Serve garnished with parsley and thyme sprigs.
