  • 6 Chicken quarters
  • ½ apple, finely grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2” ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks of green onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sweetener (I used sugar)
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • Sesame Seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, grated apple, sweetener, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken quarters in the marinade and let them sit for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place marinated chicken legs in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 25 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), flipping halfway through.
  5. Let the chicken rest briefly before serving.
