  • 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 Oreos (chopped plus more for the top)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. For the cookie base, cream together butter and sugars. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla; fold in flour, salt, baking soda, and chopped Oreos.
  3. For the brownie layer, melt butter and chocolate chips together. Whisk in sugar, egg, and vanilla; fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. Alternate scoops of cookie dough and brownie batter in the pan; sprinkle with extra Oreos on top.
  5. Bake for 25-27 minutes until golden brown.
