  • 2 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pink or red food coloring gel (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease two muffin pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and extracts, mixing well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda; combine with wet ingredients until a dough forms.
  4. Press about two tablespoons of dough into each muffin cup, shaping it halfway up the sides.
  5. Bake for approximately 12 minutes, then cool completely before forming wells in the center.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese and remaining butter until smooth; gradually mix in powdered sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Frost cooled cookie cups and decorate with sprinkles if desired.
