  • 8 ounces manicotti shells
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 26 ounces pasta sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil lightly salted water in a large pot, add manicotti shells, and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and drizzle with oil if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, garlic, egg, and basil until mixed well.
  4. Stuff each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  5. Spread half the pasta sauce on the bottom of the baking dish, arrange stuffed shells on top, cover with remaining sauce, and sprinkle with leftover mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
